The Musicians  :  Steve LEWINS

Biography before The BISHOPS

 

Steve was born on July 29th, 1954 in Hatfield (U.K.). He was educated at Onslow School in Hatfield, Ware College in Ware, and Morley College in Lambeth.

He started playing bass guitar at the age  of 15. He played in various acoustic and jazz bands until he joined The Count Bishops in 1975.

He previously worked in an advertising office. His musical influences are British Beat music, BeBop and European avant garde jazz. 

As bass player, for The Count Bishops, he uses a modified Gibson EBO bass but also plays guitar for songwriting purposes.
