The Musicians  :  Dave TICE

Biography after The BISHOPS

Dave returned to live in Australia, in the early eighties. He played in various bands.

From 1984, Dave TICE was the singer of The Headhunters, with amongst other musicians, Mark EVANS and Mick COCKS.
They recorded an album, "Outlaw Boogie - Vol. 1" which was released in 1992  through Oz Bike Magazine.

From 1988 till 1997, The HEADHUNTERS toured extensively in Australia, especially around Sydney. During this time, Dave also toured with Australian guitar virtuoso Phil EMMANUEL.

In 1986 - 1987, Dave was also with Mal Eastick Band.

In 1998, Dave was asked to sing on an album by slide guitarist John Russell. The result is the "Sippin' & A Slidin'" CD by JR & The Bar King's, issued by Full Moon Records.

In 2000, Simon CAREY, of FULL MOON Records, got Dave in a studio to record his first solo album, the fantastic "Lay Down With Dogs"
Simon writes in the liner notes:  "If you're looking for technical finesse, you won't find too much here. These guys plug in and play  the way rock music was meant to be".
This CD is a MUST:  a bunch of great songs recorded by Dave and his friends.

Since 1998, Dave have team up with Mark Evans who was the first bassist of AC/DC (he played bass on "High Voltage", "Dirty Deeds ..." and "Let There Be Rock").
Dave and Mark still play together and have released two live CD albums in 2001: "Live At The Bridge" and "Live At Rum And Raisin".

Dave also have his own band, the Dave TICE BAND, with again Mark EVANS on bass.

Now (2005), The HEADHUNTERS are back with a live DVD. Don't miss it !

Dave will fly to Europe next september for the COUNT BISHOPS reunion concerts (in London).
