The Musicians  :  Dave TICE

Biography before The BISHOPS

Dave was born on Christmas day, 1950 in Lewisham (U.K.). He moved to Australia in 1964. He was educated at Spalding Grammar School in Lincolnshire and at the Korinda High School in Brisbane.

Dave played in various bands such as
The Odd Colours (in 1966), Strange Brew (in 1966/1967), Original Plastic Foot (in 1967), The Capitol Show Band (later in 1967).

Head was formed in 1968 in Brisbane.

Then, during mid 1970, Dave moved to Sydney with Head and they soon released their first single (1971). At this time, Paul Balbi joined the band on drums.
They changed their name to Buffalo. It was the beginning of a very successful career.
Dave is on all the Buffalo records with his marvelous voice and writing talents.
Dave took the time to release a solo single in 1976 before leaving to England, just before the release of the last Buffalo album.
He arrived just in time to record the vocals on the self titled Count Bishops' album on Chiswick Records, in April 1977.
