Biography after The BISHOPS

Let's Andy tell his own story after The BISHOPS

"I left The Bishops in 1979 to honour commitments made to Steve Lewins and Skid Marx (Blast Furnace) to get The UNTOUCHABLES started.
After The UNTOUCHABLES, I joined The COBRAS, a band which featured Laurie Gane on guitar, Nigel Elliott on drums (ex Blast Furnace & Sheena Easton band). When I left The COBRAS, my place was taken by Gypie Mayo (from Dr. Feelgood).
I left for Australia in 1980, and played in a band called The RESCUE SQUAD with Skid Marx on harmonica and sax. That lasted for about 2 years, after which I spent 18 months playing in FUN IN ACAPULCO, a Sydney showband who had great success on the function circuit.

Andy Eastwood, 2003

I moved to Queensland in 1990, and I am now the product support and technical demonstrator for a company which distributes musical instruments in Australia . I still play; currently in 2 duos, and I do stand in jobs when required.
I recently toured Australia as Bjorn in the ABBA concept show "Thank You For The Music".
I remember the gig at the Roundhouse where The BISHOPS' "Live" album came from, and Blast Furnace got a live track for the Blue Wave EP. what a night that was !. The BISHOPS had the flu I think, but they really kicked serious ass that night as you can hear from the record. Its my personal favourite BISHOPS record.
I saw Dave Tice, Paul Balbi and Skid Marx in 2003, unfortunately at a funeral, but we all caught up and remembered all our yesterdays.
I caught up with Charlie Morgan (drums) when he toured Australia in 1999 with Elton John. I think he now lives near Nashville , USA ."

Thanks Andy for having sent in all these informations.
